Cooking for the Culinary Challenged Bonus Edition: Google Recipe Search

GreenBeanTruffle

So, you're probably getting a little cocky, thinking "Who is this guy to tell me what to cook? I want to do this on my own!"  Well, thanks to the wonders of Google, it's easier than ever to do just that.  With Google Recipe Search, you can search by recipe name, style, even ingredient, in case you're ever challenged to an unsanctioned Iron Chef Street Brawl.  You can also narrow the results by time, in case you have to entertain a panel of 4 judges in 60 minutes with multiple courses.  There is even an option to narrow by caloric content; an option your waistline will thank Google for down the line.  This tool is just one of many that you can use to expand your cooking prowess, but, unlike many others, this one doesn't require its own bookcase or a minor in electrical engineering (yes, a Sou Vide DIY is coming, including build pictures).  Thanks for reading through this Bonus Edition of Cooking for the Culinary Challenged, and see you on Monday.

Cooking for the Culinary Challenged: Turkey Chili-Mac

This recipe is a simple way to get into cooking, and is fantastic because it can be easily doubled to provide lunch for the week, as well as a few dinners.  It doesn't contain any fancy ingredients or tools, and should be easy for even the novice cook to whip together in a pinch.  It takes about 30 minutes cooking time, with 10-15 minutes of prep beforehand, depending on your knife skills.

Cooking for the Culinary Challenged: An Introduction

Invader Zim Cookie

One problem that I have witnessed time and again, especially among my more geeky friends, is an inability to produce even the most basic example of food.
